We have a rich history at Kansas Masonic Home. KMH was founded in 1896 as a home to serve orphans, widows and elders. We are proud to have more than 120 years of experience caring for the Wichita community. In addition, KMH is one of the most recognized and established senior living communities in Kansas. There are a multitude of amenities and services offered to our residents that make us a home away from home. KMH is now open to the public and has newer residences that have been beautifully remodeled.

KMH wants our residents living their best lives, not bogged down doing laundry or tidying up their living space. Our housekeeping staff demonstrates respect, thoroughness and attention to detail. They treat your house as their house. Housekeeping cleans all surfaces and floors, in addition to dusting, glass cleaning and general maintenance. Frequent laundering of bedding, towels and clothes keeps each apartment fresh and clean. 

There’s also something special about a visit to the beauty salon or barbershop at KMH. Residents can schedule appointments for hair washing, styling, cuts, hair coloring, manicures, pedicures and more! These services are offered Tuesday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm by appointment. Providing more than just a haircut, residents leave feeling pampered and looking good.

The activities directors at KMH fill the calendar with over one hundred activities monthly for residents to choose from. Activities include seated exercises, fun-filled outings, live performances, happy hour, and social gatherings. There is always something fun to do at KMH.

KMH wants our residents to feel at home so we built open, tranquil outdoor spaces to encourage a peaceful mind. Experience the rich history of KMH as you stroll together along the walking paths or sit and relax in the serene courtyards with family and friends. They can also grab a delicious bite for al fresco dining or relish in the calm breeze on the patio. Or even take Fido for a walk and visit the KMH dog park. Visiting hours are 24/7 at KMH.

After working up an appetite, fine dining is close at hand. The KMH chef and dining team take pride in consistently serving food and drinks that delight residents and families. Enjoy three healthy meals daily from our featured menu served restaurant-style. Or have meals delivered to your apartment with no delivery fees. If you are in the mood for alternative menu options, our “Always Available” has an abundance of delicious menu items. These are available from 7am to 7pm. Guests are always welcome to join residents for meals as well. 

A History of Wellness and Fitness

The Wellness Center is our hub for exercise. Our fully equipped Cardio and Strength Gym features wellness tools that rival any mainstream fitness center. We also use equipment designed for both rehabilitation therapy and all-encompassing strength- and health-building programs. The heated indoor pool and hot tub provide low or no weight-bearing opportunities to increase strength, endurance, balance and flexibility. These are all key capabilities for seniors. Residents can visit the pool to engage in energizing classes or to simply relax in the soothing warm water.
