How do you define assisted living?
Our licensed professionals provide residents with the assistance they need, so they can enjoy the things in their lives that matter most while staying as active and independent as possible. Private residences, a wide variety of services and amenities, and warm neighborhood surroundings are all hallmarks of the supportive assisted living lifestyle to be found at KMH. How does KMH provide breakthrough memory support?
Ask us about Behavior-Based Ergonomic Therapies (BBET) through non-pharmacologic therapies for those facing the challenges of memory loss. We make sure our residents receive individually tailored care while maintaining familiar schedules and safe surroundings. Staff members also take the time to learn the history of each resident, resulting in a nurturing relationship that goes far beyond just providing care.
What does it cost to live at KMH?
Monthly fees depend on the area, type, and style of residence you choose. Many residents find it is more cost effective to live in a KMH apartment when utilities, meals, housekeeping, home repair and maintenance, insurance, and other costs are factored into the cost of living.
I have long-term-care insurance. Can I utilize it while living at KMH?
Many long-term-care insurance policies work well in conjunction with our community.

Financial and physical qualification are both necessary before you can become a resident.
How do I know which level of care is appropriate?
Prior to moving in, a wellness evaluation will be completed to determine which level of care will best meet the needs and desires of the individual.
Can I have a pet?
Pets are welcome with a pet deposit fee. There is a 20-pound size restriction. To be approved, you must present KMH with a form from your vet stating that the pet is not aggressive and is current in all its shots and has flea prevention. An annual vaccination record is required each year.

The healthcare center offers 20 newly remodeled Rapid Recovery Suites for short-term rehabilitation needs. These suites are fully furnished with new home-like furniture and flat-screen televisions, decorations, and phone service. If I need to go to the healthcare center for a period of time, do I have to move out of my apartment?
Our residents often move to a higher level of care for short-term rehabilitation before returning to their prior residence. This is one of the benefits of living at a continuing care retirement community.
